Mental Performance Coaching

Behind every great athlete and every great performance is more than just talent and training—it’s the mindset, routines, mental skills, and a framework that drive success. No matter how hard you train your body, if your mind isn’t prepared, focused, and resilient, you’ll always feel short of your goals. That’s where mental performance coaching comes in: building the tools and systems you need to perform at your best—not just sometimes, but when it matters most.
The greatest performers at every stage have coaches. Even the best in the world need someone in their corner. Kobe Bryant had mentors. Tiger Woods and Michael Phelps had coaches, and whether you were born to perform or still working to find your edge, we all need guidance, accountability, and someone to push us beyond where we can go alone. The truth is, when talent meets talent, your talent alone isn’t enough—it’s preparation, adaptability and the ability to rise under pressure that separates the good from the great, and the great from the ELITE.
This is What I Do
As a mental performance coach, I help athletes and performers go from good to great by getting organized and intentional about their perspective, their practice and their craft. I will equip you with practical tools and proven strategies that elevate preparation and transform execution. Together, we’ll build personalized systems to manage pressure, sharpen focus, strengthen confidence, and bounce back from setbacks—developing a mental framework that aligns with your training, goals, and environment. Whether you’re breaking through a plateau, regaining your competitive edge, returning from injury, or striving for the next level, I provide the structure, tools, and accountability to help you get there.
What is Mental Performance Training?

The principles and skills within my coaching framework teach you how to engage and operate within your zone of optimal functioning. Using both practical and science-backed performance strategies, I tailor and integrate mental skills and tools that best support your performance goals and personal needs.

By this point…
Maybe you’re interested with the idea of pursuing mental performance and training your mind with the same dedication you train your body. Maybe beneath the surface you already accept and realize that an elite mindset supported by focus, confidence, and resilience can take your performance to the next level. But let’s be honest—right now you’re probably asking yourself: where do I even start? That’s where I come in. My role is to give you a clear entry point, a proven framework, and the guidance to begin building the mental tools that allow you to self-organize and prepare for your best performances. Now, if you are still wondering if this is meant for you? Let’s find out.
Consider this, are you…
→ Feeling behind, like everyone else is one step ahead of you?
→ Someone who feels stuck? Tired of being your own biggest obstacle?
→ Finding it difficult to stay composed and concentrate when it matters most?
→ Quick to get rattled, losing focus or confidence when unexpected challenges hit?
→ Feeling lost at times? Training without clear goals, a plan or framework to guide you?
→ Finding that when you get distracted or thrown off, it takes forever to get back on track?
Or maybe this sounds familiar. Do you…
→ Constantly work harder than anyone else on the team, but not seeing the results you deserve?
→ Get tired of hearing about “mental toughness” but not know what that even means or looks like?
→ Wish you had a system of skills and tools to help you navigate all the challenges life or sports throw at you?
→ Want to take your game to the next level and experience the full potential and capability of your performance?
I got to spend two seasons working with Brady in his role as the VP of Health & Performance with the Suns, and he far exceeded the expectations of his job description. My Interactions with Brady transcended the court, training room or weight room. He made it a point to check in with you, the human, and would always offer up helpful nuggets that were applicable to whatever the challenge or opportunity that was present.

How it Works
Let’s get started with your mental performance journey
Step 1
We Connect
Mental Performance Training is a journey. My coaching practice is built on a person centered approach that begins by getting to know you—your goals, your challenges, and the opportunities in front of you. This first step is about understanding where you are now, where you want to go, and how we can build a framework and practice that sets you up for success. I also use this time to educate you on the value of integrating mental performance training, and how this process works to both create and drive performance excellence.
Step 2
We Assess
Next, we break things down to the fundamentals, taking a deeper look at the foundation of your development and growth. Through a guided intake process, we establish your current psychological baseline — providing a clear snapshot of your strengths, areas for improvement, and opportunities to grow. From there, we outline a system of mental skills and tools that align with your goals, reinforce your strengths, and create a mental playbook that drives sustainable success.
Step 3
We Build
Now we build. With a strong foundation and understanding of mental performance training (and each other), we turn our focus to building a personalized framework designed to maximize your opportunities for success. Together, we’ll collaborate on your goals, evaluate your environments, and address the situations you face to craft a signature plan. This plan aligns the mental skills and tools best suited to meet the demands of your performance — equipping you to consistently show up and deliver with confidence.
Step 4
We Train
Now the real journey begins. With your personalized systems, mental skills and performance playbook in place, our focus shifts to training. Because consistency with practice is key. Together, we establish the optimal cadence and practice routines to strengthen your foundation, expand your capacity, and integrate mental skills into daily habits — so you can confidently perform your best, when it matters most.
Brady is a truth teller. He has a deep understanding of the mentality it takes to reach the next level. Brady and I have traveled the world together with USA Basketball, and one conversation in particular has always stuck with me. He asked me:
‘Are you trying to be good, or are you trying to be great?’
That simple question changed my perspective. It allowed me to think differently and lock in on areas I knew I could improve to pursue greatness.

Foundational Mental Performance Principles
THE ELITE 8
When you begin your mental performance journey with me, you’ll learn the core principles that guide my work with some of the best athletes, coaches, and performers in the world. These aren’t abstract theories—they’re trainable, practical skills designed to help you maximize your opportunities and potential. Together we will develop systems, processes, and skills to help you overcome adversity and perform consistently at your best. Through my coaching practice, you’ll discover the principles that form the foundation for building a winning mindset.
1) A Championed Mindset
Everything begins with how you think, and a championed mindset is what separates good from great. The foundation of performance mastery is built on a winning perspective that is task- and process-oriented, rather than result- or ego-driven. Having a solution-oriented mentality rather than a problem-centric focus. It’s about being a proactive player in the game rather than a passive spectator in the stands. A championed mindset isn’t a one-time spark—it’s the ability to adapt and respond in a winning way, CONSISTENTLY. It means reframing adversity into opportunity, choosing confidence over doubt, and believing that growth lives on the other side of hard. Together, we’ll build a framework rooted in this mindset and equip you with the tools to sustain it for the long run.
2) Motivational Drives & Discipline
Understanding WHY you perform is just as important as HOW you perform. Our motivational drives start deep within us. Fueled by our identity, goal orientations, and the self-awareness that accelerate you forward — but it can also be limited by the fears that hold you back. Together, we’ll uncover what truly drives you, align your goals with your purpose, and develop strategies to break through self-doubt, fear of failure, acceptance, or the fear of judgment. By understanding and training your motivational system, you’ll be able to sustain effort, define success, tap into grit, and keep moving forward even when the path gets difficult. But knowing your drives and setting meaningful goals is only part of the equation. What makes the greats truly elite is their ability to show up day after day—even when it’s hard. Discipline and commitment are what hold everything together, keeping you consistent, resilient, and on track when motivation fades.
3) Goal Orientations
Success doesn’t happen by accident — it’s built with intention. That’s where goal setting comes in, but not just in the traditional sense of blindly chasing an outcome. To perform at your best, you need to understand and align three types of goals: outcome, performance, and process. Outcome goals point to where you want to go, performance goals track your progress and benchmarks along the way, and process goals guide the daily actions that keep you moving forward. When you learn to connect all three, you can reverse-engineer success — not just by asking what needs to get done, but by asking who you need to BE in the world to achieve it. This is where greatness is born, teaching you to shift your perspective to stay focused, engaged, and grounded in the habits that lead to long-term achievement.
4) Performance Framework
Preparation is where performance truly begins. Once your goals are set and your motivational drivers understood, the next step is building a roadmap for success—a vision outline that includes winning patterns, routines of excellence, and a clear path that turns intention into action. Because the truth is how we do anything, is how we approach everything. A key tool I have designed in this process is your Mental Playbook—a personalized guide that organizes your approach with clarity and structure. It becomes the anchor that helps you stay consistent, focused, and ready to attack when pressure hits. By creating this framework of routines and strategies, we eliminate guesswork and build the confidence that comes from knowing you’ve prepared to succeed.
5) Focus & Awareness
Distractions are everywhere — both in life and in competition. High performers don’t succeed because they avoid adversity, but because they train the ability to be fully present in the moment of hardship, no matter the circumstance. Through awareness training and attentional control strategies, you’ll learn to block out distractions, recover quickly from mistakes, and prioritize what’s most important NOW, and attack it with clarity. This allows you to perform consistently at your best and shine brightest when it matters most.
6) Self-Control & Self-Regulation
Pressure is unavoidable — but being controlled by pressure is optional. Self-control and self-regulation are the skills that allow you to manage emotions, stay composed under stress, and make sound decisions even when the heat is on. Through training tools like breathing, reset routines, and cognitive reframing, you’ll strengthen the ability to regulate both thoughts and emotions. This empowers you to respond with clarity and discipline, rather than reacting out of fear, frustration, or impulse.
7) Mental Skills & Tools
Peak performance doesn’t happen by chance — it happens by preparation. Mental skills such as self-talk, visualization, confidence-building routines, and refocus strategies give you practical tools you can rely on when it matters most. Just as athletes train their bodies, we’ll build a personalized playbook of mental tools that fit your style and situation, so you’re never caught unprepared. This toolkit becomes your competitive edge — one you can use anytime, anywhere.
8) Leadership & Culture
Leadership starts from within. The best performers don’t just elevate themselves — they elevate everyone around them. Leadership isn’t about titles or status, it’s about influence, and trust. We’ll develop the communication skills, emotional intelligence, and accountability that great leaders embody, and connect this to the culture you’re creating with your team, your family, or community. A strong culture sets the standard for how challenges are faced, how teammates are supported, and how success is sustained. When leadership and culture align, individual strengths become collective excellence.
